Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Voice Arena (the "Service"), operated by Voice Arena ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service in any way you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. What the Service Does

Voice Arena is a platform for blind comparison of AI text-to-speech ("TTS") models. You submit a text prompt; the Service generates audio clips from two randomly selected TTS providers; you listen and vote for whichever you prefer. Votes contribute to an Elo-based community leaderboard. The Service is currently free of charge. We reserve the right to introduce paid features in the future with prior notice.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction if higher, to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your Prompts and Content

You are solely responsible for any text you submit to the Service ("Prompts"). You represent that you have all rights necessary to submit your Prompts and that they do not violate any applicable law or third-party rights.

You may not submit Prompts that are unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, sexually explicit, invasive of privacy, or otherwise objectionable. You may not submit personal data of third parties, or any content that constitutes hate speech or incites violence.

We do not claim ownership of your Prompts. By submitting a Prompt you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use it solely to operate and improve the Service, including for training and research purposes in aggregated, anonymised form.

4. AI-Generated Audio

Audio clips are generated by third-party TTS providers (currently ElevenLabs, Gradium, and Deepdub). We do not control these providers' models or outputs. Audio is provided for evaluation and comparison only and is stored temporarily (five minutes or less) before being automatically deleted. We make no representations as to the accuracy, quality, or suitability of any generated audio.

5. Prohibited Conduct

• Manipulating votes or the leaderboard through automated means, coordinated behaviour, or any other dishonest method.
• Scraping, crawling, or otherwise extracting data from the Service by automated means.
• Attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Attempting to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
• Using the Service in a way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair it.
• Reselling or commercially exploiting the Service or its outputs without our prior written consent.
• Impersonating any person or entity.

6. Intellectual Property

All rights in and to the Service — including its source code, design, branding, and underlying infrastructure — are owned by or licensed to Voice Arena. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand features. The TTS models accessed through the Service remain the intellectual property of their respective providers.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY GENERATED AUDIO WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VOICE ARENA AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING UNDER THESE TERMS SHALL NOT EXCEED €100.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by applicable law.

9. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party TTS providers whose terms and privacy policies apply to their processing of your Prompts. We are not responsible for the practices of these providers. The Service may also contain links to third-party websites; such links do not constitute our endorsement of those websites.

10. Termination and Suspension

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate your access to the Service at any time, without prior notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law. We may also discontinue the Service in whole or in part at any time.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted here with a revised "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any such update constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, please stop using the Service.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise.
